About ‘Teaching Games’

Mikeastbury

My name’s Mike and I started ‘Teaching Games’ in March, 2015 as a place to share the games and activities I’ve made that have proven to be fun and educationally valid. I also want to encourage teachers to experiment with games of their own.

I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by the positive feedback I’ve received and the first couple of years have included some great highlights.

In 2015 this site was shortlisted for featured-blog-of-the-month.pngthe British Council Teaching English ‘blog of the month’ three times, and won in November. In 2016 it was shortlisted a number of times and it won a second time in February.

I have written three guest articles: One for the International House Journal and two for British Council’s ‘Voices’. I’m grateful to both organisations for their support.

I’ve also spoken at conferences, run training sessions and I’m really excited about the future.

Thanks for visiting the site, please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
